Cat. #00411142: JESSICA TANDY

Tough to acquire vintage 8x10-inch color portrait from her Oscar-winning role, Driving Miss Daisy (1989), boldly signed in black felt-tip marker around the time of the film's release. In good condition. A beloved doyenne of stage and screen, actress Jessica Tandy's career spanned nearly six and a half decades.  After excellent work in classic films like The Valley of Decision (1945), Dragonwyck (1946), The Light in the Forest (1958), and Alfred Hitchcock's horror classic The Birds (1963), she found new work in no-nonsense-old-lady roles, most notably in sci-fi's Cocoon (1985), *batteries not included (1987) and Cocoon: The Return (1988); Driving Miss Daisy (1989), for which she snagged her only Academy Award; Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), which earned her a second Oscar nod; and Used People (1992).
